Submarine Cables play vital role in telecommunications services and electrical power transmission by providing cost-effective solutions to customers who require basic advanced facilities in the industry.

Recognizing the future challenges and to provide more customer-centric solutions, all the operational activities of Emirates Telecommunications & Marine Services FZE (E-marine FZE) will henceforth be carried out by E-marine Private Joint Stock Company (E-marine PJSC).

E-marine PJSC while reinforcing its commitments to guard the submarine cables in the region and beyond would target its business operations mainly in the Gulf, West Indian Ocean and Red Sea regions.

In addition to the existing three fully equipped cable ships and a full-fledged Depot, a new multipurpose support vessel with DP-2 capability is expected to join company's fleet during 2007.

With its added resources, particularly, with well equipped cable ships and storage facilities, established track records of successful installations of various prestigious and major submarine cable projects and having a portfolio of various submarine cable maintenance Contracts coupled with its diversified activities in Oil & Gas sectors for sub sea cables installation, maintenance and related services, E-marine PJSC would justifiably be the true guardian of submarine cable networks in the region and beyond.

E-marine's total commitment for quality is evidenced with the obtainment of an integrated management system certified to ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001-2000, ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001:1999 for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).

The capabilities of the company's cable ships include, among other things, full Dynamic Positioning System, Sea Plough Spread having capacity to operate up to a water depth of 1500m and burial up to 1.0 m, up-gradable to 1.5m and ROV with capacity to operate under water depth up to 2500m and burial up to 1.5meters. In addition, a second ROV is available to operate underwater depth upto 100m for shallow water and near platform inspection & survey.

Apart from its core activities of submarine cable installation and maintenance, E-marine PJSC provides sophisticated storage facilities for submarine cable and accessories in controlled environment and in accordance with highest international standard along with testing and jointing by qualified testers and jointers. These storage facilities guarantee longer storage life for the cable.

The other activities undertaken by the company are Submarine Route Survey, Cable Transportation, Consultancy, ROV inspection and burial and related operations.

E-marine PJSC is expected to undertake implementation of more prestigious submarine cable projects in future.
